OFR South Area Business Development Manager

Job Location: Arzano (NA)

We’re looking for a OFR South Area Business Development ManagerJob Purpose

Implement business development plans and processes to generate new/additional business, maximize profit, and grow market share in line with business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines, and policies.

Key Tasks
* Execute business development plans to achieve customer growth, retention, revenue targets, and budgets.
* Develop new business and increase DHL's exposure among targeted prospects.
* Conduct market and feasibility studies to assess potential and analyze target groups.
* Research and develop marketing initiatives to prospect new business opportunities.
* Engage with targeted prospects to understand their strategic challenges and priorities.
* Identify customer needs and match them with DHL’s services.
* Develop leads, conduct pre-proposal visits, prepare proposals, and negotiate to close deals.
* Maintain relationships with prospects and key accounts, coordinating activities of prospect-focused teams.
* Establish new relationships with targeted non-buying accounts.
* Coordinate with local, district, and regional management to meet customer requests and promote services.
* Collaborate with inside sales, sharing account and competitor data with product management.
* Identify and adapt to problems beyond own authority, improving work methods as needed.
Job Requirements
* 3-5 years of sales experience in Freight Forwarding (air and ocean freight required).
* Strong knowledge of Ocean freight products.
* Experience with logistics processes, systems, and solutions.
* Excellent analytical, sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Strategic vision, results-driven, detail-oriented.
* Ability to recognize threats and opportunities, implement best practices, and focus on continuous improvement.
* Deep knowledge of the targeted geographical area.
* Fluency in Italian is required.
