Manufacturing Engineer – Shop Support
As a Manufacturing Engineer – Shop Support, you will provide technical support to solve manufacturing problems, work with advanced technologies, make key decisions, resolve issues, and oversee projects to improve production processes. You’ll collaborate with Shop operations and Method Manufacturing Engineers to share knowledge, innovate, and implement improvements.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the production floor, identify causes of production stops, and coordinate with Method Manufacturing Engineers and Shop floor to resolve issues.
- Develop CAM programming to address immediate machine problem solving.
- Support all aspects of new tooling and method pre‑production and post‑launch production through completion.
- Influence part program design to ensure product quality and rapid introduction of new machining methods.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
- Good knowledge of machining processes and machine tools.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications and evaluate manufacturing processes.
- Experience with CAD/CAM and 3D applications such as Unigraphic is preferred.
- Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
- Availability to work in shifts.

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 31,200 to 42,900.
The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
