Job Summary
A Senior Sales Manager analyzes local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that maintain the hotel's leadership in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.
What will I be doing?
As Senior Sales Manager, you will:
* Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads.
* Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business into the hotel/cluster and increase market share across revenue streams.
* Negotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients.
* Develop and implement creative local marketing channels, including social media.
* Prepare company contracts in accordance with current business and pricing conditions.
* Work within current business strategies and recognize potential opportunities.
* Collaborate with other hotel departments to create an exceptional guest experience and build comprehensive sales programs.
* Attend sales events as required.
* Produce accurate and timely reports for the Sales Director and senior management, including appointments, calls, and business leads.
* Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries.
* Manage staff performance in line with company policies.
* Recruit, manage, train, and develop the sales team.
