Associate Business Development Manager – Milan
The ROLE:
Converais a global leader in commercial payments that powers international business by moving money with ease. This role isa great opportunityto progress in your sales career through different business development roles as well as explore other opportunities across the GTM business.
Tosucceedin this role, we are looking for resilient, motivated individuals with a tenacious and competitive mindset to work on all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting clients with low interest, through a full discovery stage, to a client trading habitually.
As a trusted business partner, you will focus on building effective long term, mutually beneficial and profitable relationships with clients from mid-cap to corporates in Italy by growing the business and extending the reach of Convera’s products & services to achieve new business revenue.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
* Use your deep knowledge of Convera’s value proposition to attract new leads to build a suitable pipeline, while also understanding the needs, challenges, and requirements that prospects/clients face when trading overseas
* Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) such as revenue targets and report them on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to drive new business
* Focus on [Small-to-Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME)] business acquisition(s), with businesses with FX turnover and/or payment exposure by aligning with Partners under the direction of Sr. BDMs, Head of Desk, or Sales Leaders
* Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market, through cold calls, attending networking events, referrals, exhibitions, and through our internal sources (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator and/or [D&B hoovers]) for researching companies
* Use sales enablement tools, such as Salesforce, with a focus on maximizing effectiveness by using sales tech stack such as Highspot, ZoomInfo, to generate new sales opportunities
* In partnership with your dedicated Demand Generator, manage a pipeline of varied opportunities (in terms of company/need/solution required), and progress that pipeline by ensuring that a targeted number of meetings are being completed, and client Application Forms are being returned
* Create business proposals to articulate the benefits of our product range and consultatively guide prospects/clients to additional products & services and appropriate solutions
Relationship Building & Management
* Introduce relevant support functions such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Corporate Hedging Manager (CHM) and/or Senior Business Development Manager (Sr. BDMs) to clients
* Build and maintain long lasting client relationships with associated organizations, partners, and advisors of our prospective clients
* Collaborate with internal teams to build a strong external network of Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) partners
Negotiations & Contract Management
* Influence clients ranging from start-up owners to directors, to C-suite executives of targeted corporations
* Ensure client adoption of our services by scheduling regular meetings to discuss and review progress, and own an undertaking of a general “health check” of client’s status
* Maintain documentation of all relevant SFDC records (e.g., sales diary, prospect’s next steps, etc.), and/or ensuring you get Accounts through the Accreditation/Set Up process
* Work closely with internal teams (i.e., including bid, customer assurance, pre-sales, and customer care) to ensure seamless service delivery
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 1-3 years of Sales industry experience, ideally in the financial services marketplace
* Experience introducing and onboarding new customers
* Strong organizational and effective time management skills
* Active listening, strong written and verbal communication skills, such as a professional telephone manner
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Must be fluent in English (oral and written), as well as Italian
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Foreign Exchange (FX) knowledge and/or experience, especially with payments, risk management, and/or hedging solutions
* Bachelor’s Degree preferred
