The Company:
Our client is the Chemical trading division of an International conglomerate that has been active in the import/export trade and the development of new business for nearly five decades. The main task of the Chemicals division is the import and export of chemicals of all kinds, their derivatives and various chemical end products for customers in Europe and Asia. This role is a new position created to develop sales and business of polyolefins primarily in Italian regions
Key Responsibilities:
Regular customer visits and sales of our product range as well as the acquisition and performance of sales-oriented tasks through regular telephone customer contactsResponsibility for sales, turnover and contribution margin for the assigned areaActive sales acquisition and identification of sales opportunitiesSubmission of offers and price negotiations with the customer on siteObtaining market information as well as determining and monitoring the competitive situationEnsuring proper and timely order and shipping processingCustomer acquisition, visits and supportComplaint processing and sales correspondenceOrder and shipping processing of complete order, also for third countriesCreate calculations, statistics and offersProvide a weekly report on business activities (including sales performance versus budget) and the market environmentProvide visit reports & all relevant feedback in CRMAnalysis of customer, competitor and market trends and demand structure in defined area
Person profile:
A university commercial / technical degree and professional sales experience of more than 10 yearsWorking experience in trading or distribution company as a polymer resin trader, especially PE & PP items in ItalyFluent in Italian & English languagesMS Office skillsWillingness to travel and an independent, goal-oriented and systematic way of workingOutstanding interpersonal skills across cultures
