Our Client, a major international Group operating in the construction of industrial plants and infrastructure, for a high-profile project with significant environmental impact and regional as well as national relevance, has entrusted us with the search for a: H&S; Specialist.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Ensure adherence to health and safety (H&S;) rules, bestpractices and standards throughout all phases of the project lifecycle into plant operations.
Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive Health and Safety policies, programs, and management systems tailored to the specific hazards of steel production, including molten metal handling, heavymachinery operations, and chemical exposure.
Lead H&S; certification processes and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 standards, as well as applicable industry-specific regulations; conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments for equipment, facilities, and operational processes.
Prepare H&S; reporting for the HSE Director and regularly discuss with them key risks, incidents, and mitigation strategies.
Foster close collaboration with team members, supporting and promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Participate in incident and nearmiss investigations using recognized root cause analysis methodologies, monitor key performance indicators through dashboards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce accidents, operational risks, and downtime.

Health, Safety and Environment Incident Rate (TRIR, LTIFR, NearMiss Rate, Safety Observation Rate, Training Completion Rate).
Requisiti
Bachelor's/Master's degree in a technical field.
5+ years in H&S; roles (preferably manufacturing/heavy industry and high-risk environments, heavy machinery and molten metal operations).
5+ years in H&S; roles, preferably in heavy industry steel, cement, manufacturing, oil/gas, or chemicals, with at least part of that experience in an international context.
Proven track record in risk assessments, audits, regulatory compliance, and incident investigation.
Knowledge of standards, and ISO 45001.
Knowledge of the Italian law on workplace safety (81/2008).
Expertise in regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
Strong communication skills.
Building codes and site safety regulations.
