Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety (H&S;) rules, bestpractices and standards throughout all phases of the project lifecycle into plant operations.
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive Health and Safety policies, programs, and management systems tailored to the specific hazards of steel production, including molten metal handling, heavymachinery operations, and chemical exposure.
- Lead H&S; certification processes and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 standards, as well as applicable industry-specific regulations; conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments for equipment, facilities, and operational processes.
- Prepare H&S; reporting for the HSE Director and regularly discuss with them key risks, incidents, and mitigation strategies.
- Foster close collaboration with team members, supporting and promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Participate in incident and nearmiss investigations using recognized root cause analysis methodologies, monitor key performance indicators through dashboards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduceAccidents, operational risks, and downtime.

- Health, Safety and Environment Incident Rate (TRIR, LTIFR, NearMiss Rate, Safety Observation Rate, Training Completion Rate ).
Competenze ed esperienza
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in a technical field.
- 5+ years in H&S; roles (preferably manufacturing/heavyindustry and high-risk environments heavymachinery and molten metal operations).
- 5+ years in H&S; roles, preferably in heavyindustry steel, cement, manufacturing, oil/gas, or chemicals, with at least part of that experience in an international context.
- Proven track record in risk assessments, audits, regulatory compliance, and incident investigation
- Knowledge of standards, and ISO 45001
- Knowledge of the Italian law on workplace safety (81/2008)
- Expertise in regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
- Strong communication skills.
- Building codes and site safety regulations
