Overview National Account Manager Italy & Spain role at Mercuri Urval Italia. The company is a multinational leader in OTC medical technology, dedicated to advancing health through innovation. The National Account Manager will execute the EMEA strategy at a regional level, lead commercial initiatives, drive operational excellence, and deliver strong financial results. The role reports to the EMEA Head of Sales and will lead a small team while managing relationships with national business distribution partners in the designated markets (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece). Responsibilities Plan the annual budget, manage revenue and expenses, and deliver financial results to ensure profitability and growth. Maintain and grow relationships with major customers and professional bodies; represent the company at external presentations, congresses, and exhibitions to increase brand awareness and gather market and competitor information. Manage and develop sales and trade marketing distributors’ teams; oversee all sales and trade marketing activities in the designated areas; be responsible for regional P&L. Plan, negotiate, oversee, consolidate, and safeguard the accuracy of the annual sales budget for the region to achieve sales turnover and gross-profit targets. Negotiate, update, and maintain the legal framework governing business relationships with clients. Proactively develop and capture innovative business opportunities and collaborations to support portfolio growth and expansion. Manage partners’ forecasts and the phase-in/phase-out of old and new products in collaboration with the marketing and supply chain management departments. Requirements A master's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or similar. Experience in a consumer product environment is a must (OTC, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food supplement, infant nutrition, or wellness products). At least 3 years of people management experience, leading a team of sales professionals. Analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think strategically while executing initiatives hands-on. Experience in Trade Marketing, Distributor Management or Key Account Management. Willingness to travel extensively. Proficient in English and Italian, both written and verbal.
