About SAYURI The Role We are seeking a Supply Chain & Operations Manager based in Florence, Italy to oversee and optimise our international supply chain operations. You will manage complex logistics flows between our Italy warehouse and distribution networks in Europe, coordinate incoming shipments from Japan and China, and oversee product formulation and packaging operations based in Florence. Key Responsibilities - International Supply Chain Management - Coordinate and optimise product movement throughout Europe and globally, ensuring timely, cost-effective distribution - Inbound Logistics - Manage incoming shipments from Japan and China, including customs clearance, quality control, and inventory receipt - Product Formulation & Packaging - Oversee local production activities, including product formulation, packaging operations, and quality assurance - Inventory & Demand Planning - Lead forecasting and stock optimisation across multiple markets to meet demand while minimizing waste - Vendor & Partner Management - Build and maintain relationships with suppliers in Japan and China, co-packers, 3PL providers, and distribution partners - Compliance & Documentation - Ensure adherence to UK/EU food safety regulations, organic certification standards, and customs requirements - Operations Optimization - Monitor KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs - Cross-functional Coordination - Work closely with UK-based team and other regional managers on supply chain strategy and execution About You - Bilingual in Italian and English (mandatory) - native or near-native fluency required - Japanese language skills or additional languages strongly preferred - Based in Florence with occasional travel to warehouse facilities and suppliers - Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations (ideally in FMCG, food & beverage, or consumer goods industries) - Strong understanding of international logistics, customs procedures, and cross-border distribution - Experience with inventory management, demand planning, and ERP systems - Familiarity with EU food safety regulations; knowledge of organic certification standards a plus - Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities - Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating across time zones - Passion for wellness, sustainability, or Japanese culture is a strong plus What We Offer - Opportunity to build and optimize supply chain operations for a growing premium wellness brand - Work with a purpose-driven team passionate about sustainability and Japanese traditions - Be part of an ethical, design-led, and wellness-focused brand - Free matcha and product discounts How to Apply
