Overview

The Account Manager for the “Centro” Italy region is responsible for maintaining and growing the business in key accounts in line with Cordis strategic goals for Cardiology and Endovascular products. The role covers the Centro Italy region, which includes one of the following functional zone groupings: RIMINI – FORLÌ – CESENA or PESARO – PERUGIA – ANCONA. The Account Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of the Commercial Strategy priorities / products of Cordis in Key and /or strategic accounts in the assigned region.

Responsibilities

* Facilitating contact with key clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across the assigned region in Centro Italy, with operational focus on the functional zones RIMINI – FORLÌ – CESENA or PESARO – PERUGIA – ANCONA.
* Gaining contractual commitment for the long‑term use of Cordis products.
* Maintaining and growing the business in key accounts in line with Cordis strategic goals, with special focus to grow the SELUTION product business in Cardiology and Endovascular.
* Ensuring Cordis is the partner of choice within the Cardiology/Endovascular marketplace.
* Responsible for the development and execution of the Commercial Strategy priorities / products of Cordis in your region.
* Undertake specific projects as agreed with the Country lead/General manager.
* Propose and identify solutions and ideas to be selected by customers; search for creative solutions.
* Lead/coordinate Cordis’s content and communication with key stakeholders in the territory.
* This role requires close collaboration with internal and external customers to develop relationships and maximize opportunities within key accounts and regions.
* The account manager is required to think about new approaches, use current solutions, look for synergies across sectors, prepare, negotiate, and submit contracts and tenders ensuring a proper financial approach, an effective implementation, and management of contracts/agreement once secured. Collaborate with the Bids & Tender team for price offers.
* Analyze and interpret appropriate data to determine upside and downside potential.
* Identify and select key stakeholders in your territory.
* Aim to understand the customer’s interests, generate and test options and explore future service offerings.
* Negotiate agreements to secure long‑term business contracts / agreements.
* Ability to shape and influence commercial processes, ensuring the best approach for patients/customers and Cordis.


Relationship Management

* Build and maintain key contacts with key stakeholders, clinical and non‑clinical across the Centro Italy region, with specific focus on the functional zones RIMINI – FORLÌ – CESENA or PESARO – PERUGIA – ANCONA.
* Use Salesforce.com for project management and to report opportunities.
* Work in close partnership with your colleagues to share and replicate best practice.
* Network within key stakeholders to identify the key supporters and blockers at all levels.


Business Planning and Administration

* Monitor, control and evaluate the implementation and running of tenders/contracts in conjunction with the B&T & Country lead/General manager.
* Ensure that all agreements/contracts/tenders meet the overall commercial and pricing strategy and are appropriately approved according to our Commercial Policy.
* Prioritize accounts & targets and work appropriately.
* Ensure the % of visits / time in the field is aligned with the number of key stakeholders in the region.
* Managing and updating/report the information both for Key accounts and other hospitals in your territory, for action plans and strategies.


Commercial and Industry Knowledge

* Monitor both industry and key stakeholders’ developments that may be pertinent, especially changes in funding and treatment which may affect the implementation of the commercial strategy.
* Competition situation / initiatives / projects / strategies / knowledge.
* Feedback relevant findings into the Cordis Leadership Team.


Qualifications


Required Qualifications

Education: Minimum education required: HBO or University (Medical oriented is preferred).

* Fluency in Dutch & English language is required.
* Ability to create/build strong relationships with customers to establish a reliable and trustworthy environment for growing business.
* Experience in a fast‑paced organization with a quick and pragmatic decision‑making approach. Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills.
* Ability to think creatively, sell products, think out of the box and propose innovative solutions / approaches.
* Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive evidence‑based decisions.
* Willingness to travel, and attend meetings when required.


Additional Position Requirements

* Driving License.
