It is a “Hunter” role which will play a vital role in driving Flowserve's Medium-High Rough Vacuum success, within a very broad geographical EMA region. /ppReporting into the Global Vacuum Business Development Leader, this role suits a highly energetic sales-driver who already has a very good appreciation of Industrial Vacuum solutions and associated applications. /ppThis VACUUM Business Development Manager will be responsible for strategic market entry, key-account development, line-expansion strategies, collaborating on product development and acquisition opportunities… Overall, the successful candidate will lead the regional sales development efforts in which to ensure that Flowserve is positioned as a leading Vacuum Brand. /ppWork-location is flexible, and the Business Development Manager can work from any of the EMA Flowserve facilities. /ppbYour Role : /b /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul libStrategic Market, Analysis, Targeting, and Entry : /b Conduct market research in which to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities within the region. /li liCollaborate with Peers to align with target markets, applications, and customers that best fit Flowserve’s strategic objectives. /li liLead a direct targeting approach in which to win customers, and develop them to mature accounts. /li libStrategy Development and Deployment : /b Develop and implement regional market entry and growth strategies. /li liIdentify new business opportunities, while maintaining existing key accounts, within the region and target market segments. /li liWork with cross-functional teams to drive regional Vacuum growth, and benefit from additional liquid-pump portfolio expansion where relevant. /li liCollaborate with Leadership in which to deliver market feedback and guidance surrounding Sales, Operations, Commercial, and Product-Line success. /li libAccount Management : /b Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional accounts. /li liLiaise with all Flowserve functions in which to achieve “Raving Fan” status for the top 20% of key accounts whom will drive 80% of our business. /li liDevelop, monitor, and manage tailored Tactical Account Plans for each key account. /li liManage account performance; adjusting actions as needed to meet objectives. /li libProduct and Service Portfolio Collaboration : /b Collaborate with Product Management and New Product Development teams to align the product portfolio with regional market needs. /li liMarket surveillance and advice centred around Acquisition and White Label Opportunities. /li liParticipate in product launch planning and execution. /li libCollaboration with Marketing : /b Partner with marketing teams and develop value propositions used for promotional campaigns tailored by region. /li liProvide market insights and customer feedback to support marketing initiatives. /li liIdentify key exhibition, conference, trade-body, and institute presence. /li libSales Support : /b Provide Flowserve Educational Services with guidance on what material is needed for the target markets, applications, and products. /li liDevelop and implement effective regional sales strategies to underpin progress with customers operating within the strategic target arenas. /li liEngage with regional customers and support critical meetings and product trials in which to strengthen Flowserve’s position within target market and applications. /li liMonitor direct Sales and Distribution performance to identify Vacuum opportunities and areas of improvement. /li liDevelop Challenger Sales Assessment, stories, and Strategies that fit the target Accounts. /li libReporting and Analysis : /b Prepare regular reports to illustrate penetration progress, market trends, bookings, key account performance, and strategic goals. /li liUse data-driven insights to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement. /li libCareer Development : /b This role offers significant opportunities for professional career growth. The Business Development Manager will interact with key customers, collaborate with diverse teams, gain business experience from one of the World’s largest flow-control Organizations, and ultimately be introduced to a wealth of leadership opportunities within Flowserve. /li /ul h3Your Profile /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field; MBA (Master of Business Administration) would be advantageous but not essential. /li li5+ years of experience in the field of Industrial Medium-High Vacuum working in any, or all, of the following industries : Thin Film Coating, Semi-Conductors, Battery Manufacture Recycling, Space-simulation, pharmaceutical API processing. /li liWillingness to travel up to 40% throughout the region and occasionally Global. /li liProven record of successful market penetration and strategy execution. /li libKey Competencies : /b Strong sales-Hunter mindset, with the ability to find opportunities, coordinate teams, and penetrate the target customer base. /li liStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to deliver customer care, forge relationships, and motivate cross-functional Teams. /li liApplication knowledge of Medium-High (dry) Vacuum and Rough (Liquid Ring) pumping solutions. /li liStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends, diagnose problems, and deliver application solutions to both internal and external stake-holders. /li liStrong resilient nature with the tenacity to succeed with customer development and growth. /li /ul pThis comprehensive job description outlines the critical responsibilities, career development opportunities, qualifications, and key competencies required for the EMA Business Development Manager role.
