For the next season ****, we are looking for a Chef de Cuisine to join the team at our refined La Terrazza Restaurant and at the Pool Grill Restaurant.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges.
He/she should have exceptional taste and exemplary customer service skills.
The primary objective is to provide a friendly, attentive, and timely service and to create an exceptional experience for all our guests.
He/She reports to Executive Chef.
Main Duties Responsabilities: · Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and inventory management.
· Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional dishes, adhering to Belmond's high standards.
· Mentor, train, and motivate the culinary team to foster a positive and productive work environment.
· Maintain strict control over food costs, waste, and kitchen efficiency.
· Uphold impeccable standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
· Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu creation, sourcing local and seasonal ingredients.
· Drive innovation in culinary techniques and dish development.
· Implement and promote sustainable sourcing practices within the kitchen.
Requirements · A minimum of 5 years of proven, progressive experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Senior Sous Chef within prestigious luxury hotel environments or Michelin-starred/fine dining establishments.
· Exceptional culinary artistry and a profound understanding of authentic Italian, modern European fine dining, regional specialties], coupled with a mastery of classic and contemporary cooking techniques.
· Impeccable organizational skills and a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring flawless execution from mise en place to plate presentation.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both front-of-house teams and purveyors.
· The ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding luxury environment, maintaining composure and delivering excellence consistently.
· A proactive and innovative mindset, constantly seeking new techniques, ingredients, and culinary trends to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
· A valid driver's license is required Benefits · We offer seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L.
