The Business
ADI\'s Data Center and Energy IC business has been a key provider of high-volume silicon solutions for the last decades, developing key products that enable high-density power conversion. As part of an extended, sustainable growth plan, we are expanding our Data Center power team, supporting the development of highly integrated power solutions ICs. The successful candidate will have the excellent opportunity for continuous career development as part of a highly motivated and supportive worldwide engineering team.
The Team
The Data Center and Energy IC team group at ADI is strongly expanding its activities to lead the market with cutting-edge, high-power-density, fully integrated solutions. The team is primarily focused on very high-power/high-efficiency solutions for data centers. The candidate will work in a team with a broad range of IC engineering profiles and levels of experience, including Analog Designer, Digital Designer, Mixed-Signal Designer, Verification Engineer, Layout Designer, and Test and Application engineers. The office sites are in Catania and Milano (Italy).
The Position
The candidate will be involved in the development of IPs and top-level chip design, from definition to production. Typical IPs inside a fully integrated power IC are: LDO, BUCK, BOOST, BUCK-BOOST, CHARGE-PUMP, Oscillators, PLL, Bandgap, References, precision ADC, DAC, high precision high speed current sensors, high speed high voltage tolerant level shifters, temperature sensors, I/O, SPI, I2C, PMBus, OTP, MTP.
Responsibilities
* Power IP Development: discussion of specifications, design, and pre- and post-silicon verification
* Power IC Development design, pre-silicon verification, and post-silicon bench evaluation
* Guidance to the layout engineering team
* Designing for test and cooperation with the Test engineer team to ensure correct testability
* Technical Customer Interface Engagement
* Enable a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in analog design or PhD in related field
* Strong technical and analytical background in microelectronics and power electronics, with problem-solving skills
* Good team worker in a multi-disciplinary environment
* Good understanding of Mixed-Signal Design Flow and Top-Down development methodology
* Good written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
* Proficient with Cadence Suite (Virtuoso ADE Spectre)
* HDL programming languages (Verilog / SystemVerilog)
* Analog Behavioral Models (Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS)
* Mixed-Signal Verification
