PPD, the Clinical Research Business of Thermo Fisher Scientific, is actively recruiting a highly driven Senior Account Director to join our Business Development (BD) team. This role supports PPD’s Accelerated Enrollment Solutions (AES) business, a leader in patient recruitment with a global database and a network of 180 research sites. The mission is to provide budget certainty and reduce timelines in patient recruitment. The role will focus on our Site Network Services, including Late-stage sites, Home trial services, and Early-stage site services. Senior Account Director, Business Development - Site Network Services Secures and retains business by engaging decision-makers and influencers at clinical sponsors through professional, consultative sales activities. Positions PPD as a preferred provider for clinical development outsourcing. Develops proposals, defines solutions, and recommends pricing to meet strategic goals. Acts as the primary contact until work is sold and coordinates with clinical teams to ensure successful implementation. Gathers market data on trends, products, services, and pricing. Essential Functions Orchestrates RFP strategies, develops proposals, prepares presentations, and negotiates contracts to meet or exceed authorization goals. Performs cold calls and client visits; maintains sales database and activity reports. Ensures client satisfaction through regular contact and addresses any concerns. Mentors and trains junior staff. Experience with site networks is preferred. Business Relationships Acts as a key contact for projects, interacting with internal and external personnel and networking with senior stakeholders. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with related experience (5 years preferred) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
