About the Role
A Presales Engineer with a strong technical background is sought to drive innovative sales engagement and deliver revenue growth by supporting the sales team in Milan. As a Pre-IPO start-up, we are looking for a dynamic individual who has experience within backup, disaster recovery, and data management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver and exceed revenue goals by driving technical engagement with partners and prospects in conjunction with the sales team.
* Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise.
* Support pre-sales activities in the assigned market.
* Build technical relationships with channel partners, their customers, and eco-system partners.
* Delivers technical and sales presentations to channel partner's sales teams heavily focused on the technical roles and directly to end users.
* SUCCESSFULLY builds relationships with the account team, partners, and customers.
* Leads technical sales calls and educates others.
* Qualifies sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements and competition.
* Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.
Requirements:
* Hands-on experience with Veeam Data Platform and datacentre experience.
* Driven –highly energetic with a strong hands-on, "can do" approach.
* Entrepreneurial - willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful, "get it done" attitude.
* Strives in moving in a fast-paced environment; including handling multiple calls/demos per day with immediate follow up.
* A high level of business acumen and experience working with Cx0 level personnel, knowing that technology solutions solve business challenges.
* Ability to quickly learn new technologies and be able to educate others.
* Willingness to travel for regional events and customer meetings; 50% travel.
