What You’ll Do
* Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions (on-premise, cloud, or hybrid).
* Develop and document architectural standards, best practices, and blueprints for infrastructure components.
* Ensure solutions align with business goals, compliance requirements, and technology strategies.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather infrastructure requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Lead infrastructure modernization projects, including cloud migrations, data center transformations, and automation initiatives.
* Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure projects from conception to deployment.
* Analyze existing infrastructure and recommend improvements for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and provide recommendations for integration where beneficial.
* Perform capacity planning and scalability assessments.
Security & Compliance
* Design infrastructure that adheres to security best practices and industry standards.
* Collaborate with the security team to mitigate risks and address vulnerabilities.
* Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, ITAR, ...).
Operational Support
* Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
* Provide guidance to IT teams on troubleshooting and performance optimization.
* Create and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
* Work closely with development, network, and operations teams to ensure cohesive and efficient system integration.
* Present architectural solutions and roadmaps to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You’ll Need
* Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure design and architecture.
* Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
* Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Proficiency in networking concepts (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs).
* Experience with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
* Familiarity with storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies.
* Knowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
* Adaptable, proactive, and detail-oriented.
