Design Engineer Cab - Interior Trims (plastic material expert)
The figure sought will be placed within the engineering department, in the in-house finishing team, as an expert designer specializing in plastic materials. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, willing to learn, and collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and engineering providers.
* Define technical and technological specifications of components and systems during the feasibility phase.
* Lead the technical aspects of design for components and systems.
* Ensure performance objectives are met for components and systems.
* Apply new plastics techniques and technologies to new products.
* Interface with the function head in the product development department.
* Collaborate with various departments to identify data needs and develop solutions.
* Manage developments with co-design companies and partners.
* Define and supervise external work packages with engineering providers.
* Document acquired knowledge in design standards.
* Maintain all documentation and correspondence in English.
Requirements
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
* Knowledge of data management tools and databases (e.g., SQL, Excel, Access).
* Practical experience with 2D & 3D modeling (Catia V5 - V6).
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Aptitude for teamwork and collaboration.
* Proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
* Experience with MS Office 365, Outlook, and Teams.
* Knowledge of PLM Teamcenter.
* Proficiency in Catia V5 / V6.
