Would you like to join the European Energetic Transition?
FAAM is building a Gigafactory in Teverola for the production of cells, modules, and battery packs for Electric Vehicle, Energy Storage, Industrial, and Special applications.
In joining us you will take part in a very strategic project for the European lithium battery value chain.
We are looking for an Area Sales Manager with experience in the battery or automotive industry and a strong attitude toward change management, who wants to work on the development of our lithium batteries project in Teverola.
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, purpose-driven professional who wants to help us deploy one of the most important projects in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to Sales Director
Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer's business by using a variety of sources
Gain a deep understanding of key local customers' needs and requirements
Act as the link between external customers and internal key stakeholders (technical office)
Support the company in participating in local tenders on energy storage projects
Identify and explore commercial opportunities within the area of competence
Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key local customers
Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and handle complaints to maintain trust between the customer and organization
Engage with internal colleagues such as other Key Account Managers and with the Product Manager to deliver valuable services and strengthen the company's position as a supplier
Assist the Product Manager and Commercial director with the development of existing and new products, helping to create innovative solutions for our customers
Prepare bespoke strategic plans, encompassing sales, marketing and pricing activities, to maximise opportunities and value for both parties
Implement and manage strategic activities that deliver increased value for the company (measured by contribution)
Monitor the performance of strategic plans and evaluate successes, risks and opportunities to create opportunistic or remedial activities and report to the Commercial director
Identify gatekeepers (key influencers and decision-makers) within customer organizations and develop an action plan to deepen the relationship with this audience, drawing on the support from senior stakeholders within the company where appropriate
Contribute to the formulation and implementation of sales strategies to maximise short and long-term revenue opportunities and reduce the cost of sale
Manage and continuously update the sales activity within the customer relationship management (CRM) tool
Prepare regular reports on progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
Be ready for frequent business trips and periodic visits to the production plant in Teverola (Caserta – Italy)
Requirements
Technical background (Engineering preferred)
Knowledge of the area of competence in terms of regulations, market and potentially tender processes
BSc/BA in electronic, electric or mechanical engineering
English spoken
Italian spoken preferred but not mandatory
Proven experience as an Area Sales Manager or Country Manager (minimum 5 years)
Experience managing major national key accounts and relationships at head office level
Experience presenting proposals to customers at senior management level
Experience working toward clearly defined sales targets
Experience developing and identifying the most valuable customers for an organization
