Scope of the Role
The Aftersales Engineer is responsible for ensuring the technical compliance of spare parts and service projects, both internally within the company and as the primary technical interface with customers. This role involves managing technical challenges and providing technical support to clients during site and field operations. The engineer will troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis of failures on ATV products, maintaining a focus on project success and the company's reputation.
Responsibilities and Main Tasks
1. Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to customers during installation, commissioning, and operational phases. Resolve inquiries related to product performance and maintenance.
2. Project Team: Ensure technical completeness and compliance for spare parts and site services delivery, adhering to project specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
3. Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Lead troubleshooting efforts, perform root cause analysis on failures, and suggest solutions to minimize downtime and recurrence.
4. Client Liaison: Act as the technical interface, managing customer expectations and ensuring standards are met.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, investigations, and service records, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
6. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to address product defects or quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.
7. Training and Knowledge Sharing: Assist clients with product training, focusing on proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
8. Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to design and manufacturing teams for product and service enhancements.
Education and Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role preferred.
