Position: Business Development Manager Location: Preferred in Italy, with willingness to travel 30% of the time. Division and Team Rail Control division, Group Sales, Business Development, Market Intelligence, and Commercial Analysis team. Mission Ensure the execution of business development, market intelligence, and commercial analysis activities to achieve the company's and division's mid-term objectives. Key Responsibilities Collect and analyze relevant market information, megatrends, political environment, and competitor profiles (market & competitive intelligence). Update opportunities across regional markets, including market trends and customer needs (business development). Collaborate with Sales departments within the division: Sales Governance team and Regional Sales teams. Implement and maintain business development and market intelligence tools and methodologies, including market & target pricing, lessons learned, bid documentation, and best practices. Liaise with Digital & Lumada Solutions, Rail Control, Vehicles Engineering, and portfolio departments. Support digital sales activities focusing on Asset Management, Smart Ticketing/MaaS, and Traffic Flow Management solutions. Coordinate with Marketing/Branding and Communication to prepare for exhibitions, industry trade shows, and fairs. Engage with other Hitachi Group divisions & subsidiaries (Hitachi Vantara, Hitachi Energy, GlobalLogic, etc.). Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business School; a Master’s or MBA is a plus. 2-5 years of relevant experience. Skills & Knowledge Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-oriented and results-driven. Global mindset and experience working in an international environment. Experience in Mass Transit, Signaling, Digital Solutions, or O&M Services. Experience in Sales and Business Development; marketing or communication experience is a plus. Languages Fluent in English and Italian (written & spoken).
