*THE MISSION**\nAlberami operates Italy's first ICROA-endorsed agricultural carbon credit project — 650+ farmers, 20,000+ hectares of Mediterranean crops, and a BeZero 'BBB' rating that puts our credits among the highest-quality Nature-Based Solutions in the voluntary market. We are past proof-of-concept. We are scaling.\nTo do that, we need someone who understands that the hardest part of selling carbon is not finding buyers — it is finding the right person inside the right company at the right moment in their sustainability journey, and being the most credible voice in the room when you get there.\n*THE ROLE**\nThis is a high-autonomy, high-accountability position. You will report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and operate as the commercial intelligence function of Alberami: mapping corporate targets, diagnosing their specific Scope 3 and BVCM pain points, and opening doors that stay open.\nYou will be expected to be both methodical and relentless — not in the sense of spray-and-pray outreach, but in the sense of a chess player who sees three moves ahead and does not let a promising target go cold. The CSO architects the final commercial structure; you own everything that happens before that conversation.\n*WHAT YOU WILL DO***Strategic Prospecting & Buying Committee Mapping.**\nGo beyond the title. You will identify and map the full decision-making unit inside target organisations — understanding the interplay between Procurement, Sustainability, Finance, and Marketing before the first outreach is sent.\n*Consultative Diagnosis.**\nListen for what is not said. Translate a prospect's operational context — audit pressure, SBTi commitments, supply chain exposure — into a precise brief for the CSO to architect an insetting or offsetting solution around.\n*Authority-Building Outreach.**\nYour outbound is not a numbers game. You combine a disciplined, high-volume prospecting cadence with thought leadership — white papers, case studies, LinkedIn content — that makes prospects come to the discovery call already convinced.\n*Pipeline Ownership.**\nBuild and maintain a rigorous pipeline of Scope 3 insetting and BVCM credit opportunities in our CRM. Forecast accurately. Flag blockers early.\n*Qualified Handoff.**\nDeliver deeply-mapped, fully-diagnosed opportunities to the CSO — not just warm leads, but dossiers: who holds the pen, what their real constraint is, and what they have already been told by competitors.\n*WHO YOU ARE**\n–\n*Commercially proven.**\nYou have at least 5 years of BD experience in voluntary carbon markets, sustainability solutions, or environmental commodities — with a demonstrable track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals at corporate level. Volume matters less than the quality and complexity of what you have closed.\n–\n*Organisationally fluent.**\nYou know how to identify who actually holds the pen on a contract, and how to build internal consensus across functions that often do not agree.\n–\n*Climate literate.**\nDeep working knowledge of GHG Protocol, SBTi, Net Zero frameworks, and the evolving BVCM landscape. You do not need to be coached on the basics.\n–\n*A builder of authority, not just pipeline.**\nYou have written — and actively promoted — content that created inbound interest or shortened a sales cycle. You understand that credibility is a commercial asset.\n–\n*Linguistically versatile.**\nFluent in English. Italian and/or Spanish is a significant advantage given our farmer base and expansion into Spain.\n–\n*EU work-authorised.**\nBachelor's degree minimum. Right to work in the European Union is essential.\n*HOW WE WORK**\nThe role is fully remote. We expect periodic in-person alignment sessions at our headquarters in Ostuni (Puglia) — typically once per quarter — and occasional travel for key client meetings or industry events. We trust you to manage your time; we measure you on outcomes.\n*COMPENSATION**\nBase salary: RAL €90,000–€95,000, commensurate with experience. Variable component structured around deal flow and closings, negotiated at offer stage. We are a high-growth company and we want compensation to reflect that — both the base and the upside.\n*WHY THIS ROLE***The product is real.**\nA BeZero 'BBB' rating, ICROA endorsement, and an active second issuance. You are not selling a concept.\n*The market timing is right.**\nBVCM guidance from SBTi, growing CRCF regulatory pull in Europe, and corporate Scope 3 pressure are converging. Premium, high-integrity credits are scarce. Ours are not.\n*The autonomy is genuine.**\nDirect access to the CEO and CSO. No corporate bureaucracy between your insight and a commercial decision.\n*The impact compounds.**\nEvery deal you close funds the regeneration of Mediterranean soil and the livelihoods of the farmers who manage it. That is not marketing copy — it is the revenue model.\nTo apply, send your CV and a brief cover note to\n*careers@alberami.it**
