For an international Food Ingredients Distributor operating in Europe and Africa, we are seeking a Technical Sales Manager Food Ingredients.
You will sell value-added Food Ingredients to the Food and Beverage Industry in Italy. The position is home office-based, responsible for business development across various food industry sectors.
Tasks
1. Analyze the market and supplier product ranges to identify new opportunities.
2. Develop market strategies, and handle purchasing and sales of assigned product groups in Italy.
3. Build strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
4. Visit clients, assess their needs, and create value propositions.
5. Participate in production trials at customer sites and conduct small-scale trials in application kitchens.
6. Manage projects collaboratively with the Customer Service Manager.
7. Align sales strategies for product groups with Category Managers and the Country Manager.
8. Understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
9. Conduct lab, small-scale, or industrial trials with clients.
10. Follow up on offers, payments, and related activities.
11. Develop and execute sales budgets and forecasts.
Requirements
1. Degree in Food Technology or related field.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and passion for food product development.
3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
4. High willingness to travel.
5. Organized, reliable, and positive attitude.
6. Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written).
7. Valid driving license.
