Overview
On behalf of a world-famous and premium Solar PV manufacturer, AD Energy is in search of a Sales Director - Italy.
My client are a household name in the Solar systems market, and continue to grow at a very fast pace.
Italy continues to be a huge market in 2026 and beyond, and with a growing team already, this is an exciting growth phase for the business hence we require a dynamic and commercially-minded professional to help boost and grow the market share they already have.
This position will be a permanent Italian employment opportunity and will be based mainly in a home-office. On offer is a competitive salary, strong bonus, company car, working tools, health care, and pension.
Responsibilities
Your Duties:
* Facilitate in executing the regional sale business plan in Italy
* Staying close to market activities and trends to evaluate sales strategy in Italy
* Keep abreast of solar market, suggest and pursue sale opportunities in region
* Continually establish and develop business relationships with medium and large wholesalers and EPCs
* Carry out and coordinate pre-sales activities, and win large, Multi MW deals for equipment supply
* Create sales and technical quotations for clients
* Forge business relationships with new clients and negotiate and close terms
* Lead, develop and expand a team of top class sales professionals
* Actively extend your personal and professional solar pv network with relevant partners in the solar and pv market: funders, consultants, and developers
* Possess a complete knowledge of the solutions and be a brand advocate
Qualifications and experience
* Hold a technical disciplined degree: Energy, Power, Electronics, Engineering alike
* Possess a minimum of 7 years technical sales and commercial leadership experience with the Italian Solar PV market
* Must be able to demonstrate a good track record of sales target achievement, understanding of how to grow market share
* A strong knowledge of the solar and photovoltaic technology array
* Direct experience in sales management with distributors and installers
* A strong foundation network with EPCs, Developers and funders
* A great technical aptitude, ability to process technical information and present or explain to clients
* Must have fluent language ability in Italian and English
* Must be flexible, willing to travel across the country
* Show an engaging and charismatic character
* Ability to close deals and business negotiations
* Have a business-forward and hunter-type nature
* Must be highly motivated and independent work
* Able to work in a rapid, high-pressure, and international environment
* Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
