About the Role
As a Brand Specialist as part of Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) Team of Retail Business Services, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy for managing Amazon AVS vendors. The AVS team is looking for a bright, customer-obsessed, driven, and creative candidate to join us. You will interface internally with leaders from our Retail and Vendor Services teams and will be responsible for all aspects of the vendor’s business with Amazon.
You will engage directly with multiple internal teams to optimize the product line for key manufacturers (vendors) on Amazon.com. Your work will span major functional areas such as site merchandising, buying, inventory management, finance, operations, and online marketing to drive the performance of strategic vendor partners at Amazon. Your focus will be on the strategic and operational aspects of managing customer relationships with vendors.
You will conceive, create, and analyze a wide range of marketing and site merchandising efforts, including marketing campaigns to grow vendor traffic, brand awareness, customer conversion, and revenue on Amazon. You will also analyze operational aspects of vendor businesses, identify root causes of issues, and develop solutions to improve vendor performance.
Responsibilities Include
* Measuring success through performance metrics and impact on customer experience
* Partnering with the Retail Category Team and managing vendor relationships to champion vendor needs
* Building communication channels, setting expectations, providing updates, and managing growth plans
* Developing and executing strategic account plans aligned with business KPIs
* Collaborating with internal teams and vendors to improve operational processes
* Conducting deep dive analyses and providing actionable recommendations
* Providing thought leadership on planning and execution
* Establishing long-term partnerships with key vendors
* Supporting launches of new programs and features
* Leading regular business reviews with vendors to assess performance and plan actions
* Operating in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment with full accountability
* Developing innovative solutions to complex problems
* Demonstrating active listening and a solutions-oriented approach
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Advanced level of English and minimum B2 level for Italian Language, C1 preferred
* Bachelor's degree required
* Work experience of 3+ years in vendor management, sales, account management, or business development
* Strong analytical skills and ability to manage business metrics
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively and deliver results
* Attention to detail and multi-project management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in retail buying, planning, marketing, or e-commerce
* Knowledge of SQL and VBA
* Lean Six Sigma certification
