Join to apply for the Sales Manager Project Business role at Sumitomo Drive Technologies EMEIA.

Our division “Power Transmission & Controls” (PTC) in EMEIA stands for an established global designer, manufacturer, and supplier of drives, custom drive solutions, industrial gearboxes, electrical motors and variable frequency drives.

Sumitomo (SHI) Cyclo Drive Germany and Hansen Industrial Transmissions offer more than 100 years of drive technology know‑how. With production locations in Markt Indersdorf near Munich and Edegem near Antwerp and subsidiaries in Benelux, France, Italy, Spain, Scandinavia, Turkey, Great Britain and India we serve the EMEA market (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and India.


Key Responsibilities

* Sell Industrial Gearboxes.


How?

* Define and target customers to work on.
* Secure and expand the customer base, identify prospects, and win them as customers.
* Analyze customer needs and company structures (decision‑makers and influencers).
* Find and present solutions (USPs, win‑win, application consulting).
* Cooperate closely with our manufacturing sites in Markt Indersdorf and Edegem.
* Prepare, create, and follow up on offers.
* Negotiate sales orders and contracts.
* Communicate during order implementation (project management).
* Provide after‑sales service (sell services and spare parts, internal and external communication on delivery performance and complaint reports) in collaboration with our Service Business Unit.


What We’re Looking For

* Experience in a B2B sales environment, ideally in selling industrial gearboxes.
* Demonstrated problem‑solving skills, with the ability to quickly resolve challenges.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse sales data, identify trends, and adapt strategies accordingly.
* Strong customer orientation, strong communication skills and a confident manner with customers.
* Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment of products requiring explanation.
* Proficiency with CRM software (experience with Salesforce is an advantage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Good English and Italian skills.
* Willingness to travel.
