Chef de Rang
Idylio by Apreda
For our Michelin-starred Restaurant Idylio by Apreda, located at The Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel – Autograph Collection, we are looking for an enthusiastic, well-mannered and guest-oriented Chef de Rang, who will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities and assignments:
Setting and maintaining high standards of table presentation and restaurant ambiance;
Keeping cleanliness of work areas, china, glass and other equipment throughout the day;
Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their needs;
Providing an attentive and professional service;
Ensuring that allstandards of hygiene and food safety are followed, according to HACCP regulations and company policy;
Communicating with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, product availability and making them aware about potential additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests;
Anticipating guests needs, ascertaining satisfaction, offering suggestions and promptly responding to their concerns and requests;
Performing opening and closing procedures established for the department;
Closing guests checks in a proper and accurate manner;
Reporting guests'complaints immediately to the supervisors and ensuring follow up is performed with the guests;
Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Requirements:
Fluent in Italian and English;
Proficiency in additional languages is a plus;
Previous experience in a Michelin awarded restaurant;
Strong knowledge of Food and Wine, with the ability to provide professional recommendations to guests;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for hospitality;
Maintaining appropriate appearance and personal grooming while on duty;
Able to work 5 days, 8 hours per week, 40 hours total;
Able to thrive ina fast-paced environment and deliver high standard service under pressure;
Availability to work late nights, weekends and holidays.
