Reporting directly to the Global Head of Data Management, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data ecosystem. You will be responsible for supporting the definition and deployment of a cutting-edge cloud data ecosystem, enabling an advanced data intelligence platform. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our data strategy and drive innovation within the organization.MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Design, configure, and deploy robust and scalable cloud data architectures on major cloud providers to address diverse data management use cases.- Implement data governance principles and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.- Lead the evaluation and selection of appropriate cloud-based data services and tools.- Develop and maintain data integration and analytics workload optimizing for performance and efficiency.- Manage the lifecycle of data workloads, including development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Contribute to the development of our overall cloud data strategy and roadmap.- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud data technologies and trends.- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.JOB REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud data architectures, particularly within the GCP environment.- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.- Demonstrated proficiency in developing batch and event-driven data processing architectures using established architectural patterns.- Mastering scalable data management frameworks like Spark, Flink and Beam, with proven experiences in full data lifecycle management.- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for both batch and real-time processing.- Proficiency in SQL, Spark, PySpark, Beam SDK, Flink SDK and other data management languages and frameworks.- Proven experience leading teams responsible for delivering complex architectural landscapes and development teams implementing sophisticated analytical workloads using the aforementioned languages and frameworks.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication and collaboration skills.- Experience with data visualization tools.- Experience with data science and machine learning workflows is a plus.- Certifications on Cloud Hyperscaler and Data Management Technologies is a plus.LANGUAGES: Fluent written and spoken English and Italian are mandatory.EXPECTED TRAVEL: 30 %THE COMPANYMenarini Group is the leading Italian pharmaceutical company in the world, a guarantee of internationally recognised quality.
