He must have a solid cultural base in the mechanical/structural field so that he can, in a short time, define and manage a complex mechanical system design. /p h3Key duties /h3 ul liDefinition of specific mechanical/structural requirements derived from Customer high level ones. /li liSupport concept/trade studies in coordination with System Engineering to support architectural basic choices. /li liDefinition of mechanical architecture. /li liPerform design and analyses tasks supporting product development activities on metallic and composite structures, taking into account manufacturability and integration constraints. /li liDevelop/Construct FEM (Simple) and run structural/dynamic analyses to support sizing and design choices. /li liPreparation of procurement specifications for structural systems and subsystems. /li liTechnical follow‑on of structures procurement up to delivery (i.e. subcontractor management). /li liEngineering support to development and qualification of manufacturing processes for mechanical hardware. /li liSupport hardware integration and final testing. /li liSupport and provide input to test plans and preparation of test specifications for mechanical tests (static and dynamic). /li liSupport to quality assurance for discussion and disposition of NCRs affecting mechanical parts during manufacturing, integration and testing activities. /li liParticipate and present in internal and external meetings and reviews. /li /ul h3Skills, experience and qualifications required /h3 ul liPrevious work experience of at least five years in the requested discipline and field (Space) is mandatory. /li liAbility and experience in managing subcontractors from both a technical and programmatic point of view. /li liAttitude to manage and be a leader of a technical team. /li liKnowledge of structural main requirements and relevant solutions for space‑station manned modules, satellites and re‑entry vehicles. /li liKnowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and techniques relevant to structure/mechanical constituents. /li liExperience with analysis tools for mechanical analysis such as NASTRAN, FEMAP is preferred. /li liHand calculation skills, methods and engineering judgment. /li liKnowledge of fracture mechanics and fatigue aspects is preferred. /li liGood attitude towards teaming and multi‑disciplinary approaches. /li liAvailable to work in shifts if requested by the program. /li liGood attitude towards analysis, synthesis and problem solving. /li liExcellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written). /li liRespect of company hierarchy, rules and discipline. /li liAttitude to work respecting budgets and schedule constraints. /li liMaster degree in Engineering. /li liMaster SEEDS is appreciated. /li liPh.D and/or Master Seed in Space engineering are highly appreciated and duly accounted in the candidate selection. /li /ul pAt Thales Alenia Space we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
