Joining the Waga Energy team means working on an innovative, patented and patented decarbonising technology, with full flexibility and autonomy, in the context of a concrete project in favor of the ecological transition.

We are currently looking for a Business Developer, based in our Bologna office. Knowledge of English is necessary for this position. Knowledge of French constitutes an added value.

The period of work will begin with a two-week training period at Headquarters in France (Grenoble area).


Responsibilities

The objective of the Business Developer is to develop Waga Energy’s business in Italy in the biomethane sector from biogas coming from waste management, identifying strategic opportunities, cooperating with the team in structuring projects, analyzing regulations and market trends and managing relationships internal and external with high impact.

The Business Developer will take care of:

* Business Development
o Identify new potential customers
o Manage the relationship with prospects and strategic customers
o Participate in the development of projects under negotiation
o Support the development of the commercial pipeline
o Participate in data collection (eg landfills) and the preparation of project dossiers
o Contribute to the definition and updating of the Business Plan
o Support the negotiation and contractualization phases
* Collect information, analyze it and organize it in order to identify market characteristics.
* Monitor the trends of the main drivers of the Business Plan in conjunction with the Business Development area
* Analyze the energy market in team with the Energy Department
o Methane
o Guarantees of Origin (GO)
o Electricity
* Analyze and intercept new market trends
o CO2
o Carbon Capture
o Waste sector and circular economy
* Analyze and summarize Italian and European regulations:
o Ministerial Decrees (DM)
o Energy Services Manager (GSE)
o Emissions Trading System (ETS)
* Monitor incentives, tax breaks and financing instruments
* Marketing and Communication
o Support institutional communication activities
o Collaborate on lead generation and brand awareness
o Participate in the organization of industry events and fairs
o Take part in presentations and conferences to raise awareness of Waga Energy in the Italian market
* Tools and Innovation
o Using enterprise CRM for pipeline and contact management
o Use of AI tools to automate operational and communication processes


Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree, preferably in Engineering or Economics/Business School, and has gained at least three years of experience in commercial development, preferably in the renewable, environmental or energy energy sectors.

Good Business Plan management skills are required. Mastery of digital tools, especially the Office package and CRM software, as well as a concrete interest in using automation and artificial intelligence tools to support operational and communication processes is crucial. The candidate must also be able to make effective commercial presentations and master the main negotiation techniques.

The ideal resource has clear and effective communication, acts with proactivity and autonomy, and demonstrates tenacity and resilience in professional challenges. She is endowed with an excellent capacity for organizing and managing relationships, combined with creativity, a spirit of initiative, a sense of rigor and intellectual curiosity. The profile is completed by active listening, humility and an international mentality, essential for operating in multicultural and dynamic contexts.

Availability to travel approximately 30% of the time is required, mainly on the national territory, with occasional trips to France. Knowledge of the English language is essential for this position.Knowledge of French constitutes an added value.
