An established international company operating in the animal nutrition industry is seeking an experienced EU Export Manager - Ruminants.Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the European business through the distributor channel, contributing strategically to revenue growth, market expansion, and the strengthening of long-term commercial partnerships.Key Responsibilities
Drive and coordinate commercial activities across European markets, with a primary focus on distributor-based business models.Manage and further develop relationships with key European distributors, while identifying and onboarding new strategic partners.Contribute to the definition of commercial strategies, annual budgets, and sales targets in alignment with the Commercial Director.Support and coordinate local sales teams and international partners to ensure effective market execution.Monitor market dynamics, competitive landscape, and identify growth opportunities.Represent the company at international trade fairs, industry events, and customer meetings.Work closely with Senior Management and Marketing to ensure consistent implementation of commercial strategies.Provide regular reporting on sales performance, market developments, and ongoing business activities.
Candidate Profile
University degree in Economics, Agriculture, Animal Science, or related disciplines.Minimum 10 years of proven experience in international commercial roles within the animal nutrition sector, particularly in:
Animal feedNutritional supplementationFeed additivesClosely related industries
Fluent in English; proficiency in Italian will be considered a plus.Solid industry expertise with an established and active professional network across key European markets.Demonstrated negotiation skills, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and business development acumen.Results-driven, commercially focused, with a high degree of autonomy and entrepreneurial mindset.Strong analytical skills, structured approach to planning, and problem-solving capabilities.Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.
Location
Province of Reggio Emilia, ItalyHybrid working model (on-site presence combined with remote working), with frequent travel within Europe.
Compensation
Gross Annual Salary range: €95,000 - 110,000, based on experience and seniority.
