Build lasting relationships in one of Europe's most dynamic marine markets. /b /ppTurner Engine Control Solutions (TECS) is an international engineering company specializing in control systems for gas turbines, steam turbines, diesel engines, and generators. We're a lean, ambitious team of 75 specialists operating across the Netherlands, UK, Germany, and Italy. Recent wins include advanced power management for offshore platforms, island energy control integrating renewable sources, long‑duration industrial scale storage, and hydrogen ready marine vessel systems. We're looking for someone with fire in their belly to drive our marine business in Italy. /ppThis isn't a corporate sales role where you fill in CRM fields and wait for leads. This is entrepreneurial, high‑impact work: you'll hunt for new business, maintain strategic accounts, and directly influence how fast we grow in the Italian market. /ppbWhat You’ll Actually Do: /b /ppbHunt and close new business /b across the Italian marine sector: cruise ships, commercial vessels, naval applications, offshore support vessels. We have traction; you'll expand it. /ppbOwn strategic accounts /b from first conversation through contract signature and beyond. You’re the face of TECS in Italy. /ppbTravel frequently /b to shipyards and customer sites across Italy, and occasionally internationally. Your office is wherever the customer needs you. /ppbWork closely with our Italian team /b: you’ll work with our Sales Team Lead (who’s currently doing most of the sales and knows this market inside‑out), collaborate with two Customer Service Representatives who’ll support you administratively, and partner with our growing local engineering team of who can back you up technically. /ppbShape how we work /b. We’re building this as we go. Got ideas on how to crack a new segment? Want to try a different approach to relationship management? Let’s test it. /ppbWhat You Bring: /b /ppbExisting relationships in the Italian marine industry /b. This is huge. You know the shipyards, the operators, the decision‑makers. And you know how to get to them quickly. /ppbTechnical fluency /b. You understand (or can quickly learn) control systems for engines, generators, power management systems, and ship automation. At least well enough to have credible conversations with chief engineers and technical managers. /ppbBilingual Italian/English /b. You’ll work across our international organization daily. Both languages need to be genuinely strong. /ppbSales fundamentals /b. You’ve done technical sales before, where cold selling would be an advantage. You know how to qualify opportunities, prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close deals without constantly holding them. For this you will need at least 3 years of experience in technical sales. /ppb“Can do” mentality /b. You’re comfortable with autonomy, ambiguity, and the responsibility that comes with direct impact. Shipyards, client sites, trade shows, wherever the work takes you. /ppLet’s be direct: we’re a small company (10 FTE in Italy, ~75 across TECS). As you start to fit in, you’ll take on more and more responsibilities. We have is a growing company where your contribution matters immediately and visibly.
