This role in summary: As an intern you will join the Finance Team in our Commercial Department being part of a cross-country environment, where you will have the opportunity to leverage on your educational background through unique development experiences. The intern will support the team in the preparation of period reporting and presentation, variance analysis used by Senior Leadership of Whirlpool EMEA and participation in budget/forecasting processes. Your responsibilities will include: - Manage the financial planning process of the respective country/cluster, supporting and advising the business leaders - Ensure the accurate and timely coordination and execution of all financial planning processes (i.e. budget, rolling forecasts) in agreement with both the local and central guidelines. - Define and monitor the expected economic/financial targets in a prompt and timely manner in collaboration with line managers of the organization. - Support the business and the finance team in defining the strategy and set of actions recommended to improve financial performance and exploit opportunities. - Share with the business leaders and the finance central team prompt and timely explanation of possible variances between expected and actual results on the relevant variables by comparing performance with operating plans and standards and providing specific recommendations to address the business. - Guaranteeing the coherence between management and consolidated financial data at all levels of the organization. - Monitor and report all SG&A expenses and administrative costs of the market. - Ensure the timely preparation of reports and Profit and Loss statements, in order to guarantee the respect of deadlines in planning processes as per group calendars. - Facilitate the accurate and timely exchange of information between controllers, central finance team and SSC. Minimum requirements: Are you: - a Master’s Degree student or a fresh graduate in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics? - fluent in English? - a good user of Google Suite/Microsoft Office? - keen on analytics with the ability to prioritize your work?
