Role Purpose

The Area Manager (AM) leads a team responsible for Central & South Italy, covering various channels (mainly retail, including Discount, C&C, and AFH points of sale). The primary goal is to support the growth of sell-out through specific actions, ensure excellent in-store execution, and achieve KPI targets. The AM also provides ongoing training to team members and fosters the development of future talents within Kellogg.

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

1. Contribute to defining the annual In-Store sales strategy alongside the Field Sales Force and Operational Lead.
2. Supervise FSR activities and territory coverage to meet annual objectives, ensuring compliance with Kellogg's policies and values.
3. Drive and achieve sales goals for the team, both quantitative and qualitative.
4. Ensure proper use of Kasper and track all sell-out KPIs, providing periodic reports.
5. Maintain and update back-office tools and activities.
6. Coordinate the use and stock of promotional materials with the Activation Team.
7. Schedule regular shadowing sessions to train and support the sales team, ensuring excellent in-store execution.
8. Support the team in using relevant tools and programs like Metrascan, Space Planning, Yammer, and AFO.
9. Oversee and promote the use of Yammer.
10. Plan and facilitate the onboarding of new FSR colleagues.
11. Adjust POS maps based on seasonal and new market needs.
12. Participate in recruiting and support the professional growth of team members, collaborating with HR.
13. Analyze sell-out KPIs, monitor competition, and provide strategic advice to support business growth.
14. Contribute to specific projects and activities assigned by the manager to support sales strategies.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

* 3-5 years of sales experience in the retail FMCG sector.
* Technical skills: negotiation, analysis, planning, IT proficiency, and familiarity with tools like IRI and Nielsen.
* Knowledge of categories, brand strategies, and consumer behavior in FMCG channels.
* Leadership skills to motivate and lead a team, with excellent communication and proactive attitude.
* Fluent in Italian and English; university degree (preferably in Economics); valid driver’s license; willingness to travel frequently within the area.
