This role is for a Product Manager specializing in Hardware Certifications, ideal for those with leadership, communication, and technical vision skills who can drive product strategy for future business needs.
Role Overview
This position involves leading the hardware certification roadmap, developing partnerships with OEMs, shaping development plans, and engaging with the Ubuntu community, partners, OEMs, and customers to ensure commercial success and go-to-market strategies.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the hardware certification product lifecycle and roadmap.
2. Collaborate with engineering to develop certification schemes.
3. Define future business models considering the competitive landscape.
4. Engage with community, partners, OEMs, and customers for success.
Location
This role is remote within the EMEA region.
Key Duties
* Manage product development priorities and goals.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales).
* Conduct market research and analyze industry trends.
* Communicate product vision and updates.
* Perform usability testing and iterate based on feedback.
* Support go-to-market strategies and customer engagement.
Candidate Profile
We seek candidates with:
* Strong academic results.
* Understanding of Linux and open source community.
* Knowledge of computer architecture, cloud, or devices.
* Passion for technology and continuous learning.
* Ownership, problem-solving skills, and excellent English communication.
* Willingness to travel up to 4 times per year.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with Silicon, IHV, ISV, ODM/OEMs, cloud providers.
* Knowledge of embedded/connected device ecosystems.
* Experience with hardware/software testing frameworks.
* Background in building certification programs.
