The company operates in a heavy B2B industrial space, with a global footprint and strong presence in Europe and the United States. The company is entering a critical phase of commercial professionalisation and go-to-market transformation.
Role Overview: Interim CCO / VP Sales
We are seeking a highly capable Interim Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) or VP of Sales to lead a strategic and operational transformation of the company’s sales and GTM functions. This is a full-time interim role (5 days/week), ideally based in Italy, for hands-on collaboration.
The successful candidate will partner closely with the leadership team and act as a strategic number two to the CEO/CTO, driving global GTM excellence, salesforce development, and commercial scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead GTM Strategy : Evaluate and refine the current go-to-market strategy across regions; establish a scalable, repeatable sales model tailored to industrial markets.
Salesforce Development : Build, coach, and scale a global sales team; improve structure, incentives, and performance metrics.
Professionalisation : Introduce structure and discipline to a "scrappy", entrepreneurial sales culture, balancing speed with scalability.
Sales Enablement : Implement effective sales tools, training programs, and KPIs to ensure consistency and accountability across teams.
Cross-Functional Leadership : Work closely with product, operations, and marketing to align commercial execution with product strategy and market needs.
International Scope : Manage global accounts with a focus on EMEA and North America; understand and optimise for local market dynamics.
Client-Facing Execution : Play an active role in key customer meetings, supporting relationship growth and deal closure.
Ideal Profile
Minimum 10 years of senior sales or commercial leadership in complex industrial, international, or matrix environments
Proven success in sales enablement, team building, and driving results in B2B manufacturing or tooling sectors
Background in manufacturing industries is highly desirable
Fluent in English; Italian-speaking preferred due to local team and client engagement
A “scrappy, sleeves-rolled-up” mindset with the ability to bring structure without bureaucracy
Blend of commercial confidence and consulting-style problem-solving — strategic yet deeply execution-oriented
