Responsibilities
- Own and drive sales growth in Italian DIY and home improvement market ensuring achievement of business development and revenue targets.
- Develop and execute the Italian channel strategy in alignment with the companys overall objectives covering all key channels such as national DIY chains distributors and independent dealers.
- Build and strengthen long-term partnerships with major DIY chains (e.g. Leroy Merlin OBI Bricocenter Bricoman Bricofer etc.) ensuring mutual growth and high customer satisfaction.
- Identify and open new accounts in areas or chains where the company has not yet established presence.
- Lead channel and product planning including assortment pricing and promotion strategies tailored to the Italian market.
- Plan and execute quarterly and annual sales plans tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (marketing logistics service finance) to ensure seamless execution of sales and channel activities.
- Support capability building in retail excellence in-store marketing and sales effectiveness to strengthen overall channel performance.
Profile
- At least 5 years of sales experience into one or more leading DIY retail chains in Italy (e.g. Leroy Merlin OBI Bricocenter Bricoman Bricofer etc.).
- Solid understanding of the Italian DIY and home improvement market including key players trends and category dynamics.
- Proven experience in new business development with a track record of driving growth and building strong customer relationships.
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset able to translate data and insights into effective sales strategies.
- Hands-on and results-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Good command of English both spoken and written; Italian language fluency is assumed.
- Experience in garden machinery or related product categories is an advantage but not essential.
