Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for account management and business development leading to sales growth for the European region with the potential of additional responsibility for New Zealand, Australia, and the United States. Key performance indicators/metrics include Sales Volume, Customer Visits, Agent Visits, New Business/Sales, Current Customer Business/Sales, and Business Lost.
- Develop and execute tactical plans to grow sales in support of global sales strategy.
- Increase overall market volume for machines, parts, and service.
- Develop and execute tactical plans to secure new business and grow sales for assigned region.
- Develop and execute tactical plans to increase sales with existing customers/accounts.
- Effectively support and manage Agents within assigned region to increase sales.
- Record sales activity in CRM (Salesforce).
- Ensure a high degree of customer service and satisfaction for current accounts/customers to include quick response time and effective solutions.
- Participate in Sales team meetings, initiatives, etc.
- Produce and present sales and marketing plans, reports, data, progress updates, etc.
- Assist global sales team in identifying new markets, products, and customers/prospects.
- Assist Customer Service, Technical Support, and Engineering Departments in support of organizational objectives.
Position Requirements
- Advanced/C1 English proficiency level.
- Advanced/C1 Italian proficiency level.
- Multiple years of experience in a similar Sales Management role with consistent record of increased sales (preferably in the industrial food processing equipment industry).
- Demonstrated ability to effectively execute all stages of Sales Cycle/Process.
- Minimum of a university degree.
- Must have a strong ethic, be resourceful, and willing to do the work yourself as well as effectively delegate (working management role).
- High degree of professionalism.
- Must be humble with a high degree of personal accountability and self-leadership.
- Proficiently use software programs including CRM and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to adapt to changes in procedures and responsibilities.
- Ability to analyze data and take appropriate actions.
- Strong problem-solving skills (root cause and corrective action).
- Ability to calmly and professionally work with a variety of people and personalities.
- Ability to make independent decisions in the best interests of the company and its employees.
- Ability to successfully accomplish multiple tasks, projects, and objectives to include timing, budget, and defined outcomes measures/metrics.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time within and outside of the EU.
