Purpose of the job :
The key areas of responsibility of Key Account Management are to manage, develop & grow existing large accounts that have a large, potentially multinational footprint. Explore and develop new accounts is part of the role
Required competencies
• Maximize sales and total key account potential.
• Get in-depth insights in and knowledge of key accounts' strategy & business approach.
• Manage the accounts strategically & tactically.
• Build an intimate long-term relationship with all relevant stakeholders.
• Detect & develop new (strategic) business opportunities within the existing accounts.
• Develop, implement and manage key account plans and processes according to the Barco key account planning methodology.
• Secure and make key account information available internally in accordance with company processes and tooling.
• Provide key input on financial and logistics forecasting.
• Steer and influence other internal stakeholders (sales staff, other departments, divisions, regions, etc.) in order to realize key account plans and objectives.
• Acquiring & developing new accounts.
Required education, experience and competencies
• Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in business, economics, marketing, engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: o 7 years' experience in sales, account management, market/business development in the corresponding industry. o Experience in the relevant business area is a plus.
• People management: o Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and presentation. o Extensive influencing and people skills.
• Thoughts management: Analytical skills.
