A PR & Marketing Executive plays an important role in assisting the Line Manager in achieving key objectives in line with the annual marketing and PR plan, current initiatives, and relevant activities. The marketing and PR team performs an integral role in bringing together all functional areas to ensure the achievement of commercial targets. The executive role involves managing individual projects related to marketing, media relations, internal communications, and performing day-to-day administrative duties.
What will I be doing?
As PR & Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for the results of the marketing plan and activities used by the hotel to increase brand awareness, communicate promotions to relevant target markets, and address hotel business needs. Your tasks will include:
* Coordinating and assisting with delivering marketing and PR strategies, monitoring campaign performance, and reporting as directed by the Line Manager.
* Supporting the development and implementation of promotional activities, collateral, in-house merchandising, and maintaining media libraries.
* Promoting hotel marketing activities to the media, including food & beverage, rooms, and events.
* Supporting internal communication activities such as updates, press releases, newsletters, and speeches for executives.
* Supporting marketing and PR activities like events, sponsorships, exhibitions, and property inspections.
* Managing media relations, social media tracking, press kits, archiving news, coordinating interviews, and administrative duties related to media visits.
* Organizing media familiarization trips and supporting media entertainment.
* Assisting with on-site photoshoots and filming, ensuring all administrative approvals are obtained.
* Monitoring and supporting social media activities and departmental initiatives.
* Ensuring all collateral conforms to brand standards and corporate guidelines.
* Identifying opportunities to grow loyalty marketing activities and executing content across channels.
* Responding to customer postings, addressing complaints and issues appropriately.
Managing Execution
* Supporting content management across hotel websites, OTAs, social media, and partnerships.
* Developing reports on activities, results, and next steps.
* Maintaining and growing hotel databases for targeted campaigns.
* Monitoring local news and informing management of relevant information affecting hotel reputation.
* Responding to inquiries about the hotels.
* Reviewing third-party website content for accuracy and standards.
* Conducting competitive analysis to maximize PR efforts.
* Ensuring proper archives and content management for marketing and PR materials.
* Supporting management in projects with budget considerations.
* Handling communications related to hotel crises and issues.
* Achieving performance goals set by the Line Manager and completing tasks responsibly.
Developing Talent
* This role primarily focuses on self-development rather than team development.
Building Relationships
* Establishing effective communication with hotel disciplines and external stakeholders.
* Developing relationships with media, community organizations, government officials, and suppliers.
* Working effectively within the team and supporting all hotel departments on marketing and PR campaigns.
