THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth, diversify our customer base, and expand our market presence in Southern Europe. In this role, you will work independently to manage both technical and commercial aspects of customer relationships, engaging with OEMs, PCB manufacturers, and assembly houses to promote our advanced laminate solutions for high-performance circuit boards.

You will be responsible for building and executing a sophisticated sales strategy that aligns with industry technology roadmaps and customer innovation cycles, ensuring our high-performance laminate solutions are positioned for long-term success.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role where you will be expected to develop and grow sales pipelines, drive long-term partnerships, and influence industry adoption of our materials. This role is ideal for a mid-career sales professional with a strong technical background in electronics, chemical engineering, or materials science and a passion for business development and relationship management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Market Expansion & Sales Pipeline Development

* Develop and implement a multi-year sales strategy aligned with the technology roadmaps of OEMs and PCB fabricators in key industries (e.g., automotive, aerospace, industrial, telecommunications).
* Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities, focusing on high-value accounts and emerging applications.
* Manage and expand a robust sales pipeline, tracking progress from initial engagement through contract closure and long-term account growth.
* Drive account-based selling strategies, ensuring deep engagement with engineering, R&D, and procurement teams at major customers.

Technical & Commercial Leadership

* Translate customer technology needs and industry trends into actionable business opportunities.
* Collaborate with OEM and R&D teams to align product development with market demand, ensuring our solutions are positioned for current and future technology requirements.
* Educate and consult with customers on the advantages of our laminates, demonstrating expertise in high-frequency applications, thermal management, and reliability in demanding environments.
* Negotiate complex contracts and agreements, balancing technical performance requirements with commercial considerations to ensure optimal outcomes.

Industry Engagement & Competitive Positioning

* Actively participate in industry forums, technical conferences, and trade shows to strengthen our market presence and identify emerging trends.
* Conduct competitive analysis to refine sales strategies and improve positioning against alternative materials and competing suppliers.
* Establish relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within the PCB supply chain, OEMs, and regulatory bodies to drive market adoption.
* Provide senior leadership with accurate sales forecasts, market intelligence, and business insights to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
* Utilize CRM tools to track sales activity, analyze performance data, and refine sales strategies based on real-time market feedback.
* Work closely with global and regional sales teams to ensure a unified approach to pricing, product positioning, and customer relationship management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

* Technical degree in Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
* Proven track record in B2B technical sales, ideally in PCB materials, electronic components, or industrial laminates.
* Strong understanding of OEM procurement cycles, PCB manufacturing processes, and material qualification protocols.
* Ability to build and execute a strategic sales plan, with experience managing multi-million-dollar sales pipelines.
* Deep knowledge of industry trends and technology roadmaps, particularly in automotive, aerospace, telecommunications, and industrial electronics.
* Fluent in Italian and English; additional Spanish, French, or German fluency is a plus.
* Willingness to travel extensively across assigned territories to engage customers and attend industry events.
* Strong commercial negotiation skills, with the ability to structure deals that drive customer value and business profitability.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with PCB fabricators, OEMs, or assembly houses in Southern Europe.
* Familiarity with high-performance laminates for demanding applications (e.g., RF/microwave, high-speed digital, thermal management materials).
* Proven ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, and operations teams to influence product roadmaps.
* Background in Southern European business culture, facilitating strong relationships and commercial success.
