Area Sales Manager develops and implements a sufficient and sustainable sales, marketing and growth strategy within the given sales territory according to the company’s overall sales strategy, considering the special local requirements and customer needs.
He/Her identifies and develops new potential sales accounts and business opportunities within the given sales territory and gains customer acceptance by explaining and demonstrating Nord’s innovative product portfolio.
He/Her actively contributes to business/market development within the given sales territory and supports customers preparing quotations and negotiating technically and commercially sales contracts.
KEY TASKS:
· Acquisition of new customers, preparation and submission of quotations to customers (incl. customer and distributor visits to follow up quotations/projects on a regular base)
· Responds to customer enquiries timely to ensure a high customer satisfaction and hit rate.
· Prepares and conducts sales presentations of products to new and existing customer (customer visits).
· Provides solid support to key customers and their project management. Negotiates and establishes reasonable pricing in accordance with NORD’s standard procedure.
· Develops and implements sales activities and fulfilment of annual / quarterly / monthly sales plan according to the Sales Managing Director’s requirements.
· Assists and supports in business maintenance with other existing customers when needed or required by the management.
· Submits efficient & accurate business reports and sales forecasts on time; adds actively data about the own daily sales activities to the CRM system and monitors/reviews constantly the stored information within the local CRM system. Data quality and up-to-datedness has the highest priority.
· Evaluates margins of low margin customers and develop strategies to increase the margin. Account receivables follow up.
· Prepares market and competitor investigation/analysis reports for the given sales territory. Identifies the total sales potential of existing and new target customers.
· Makes a first failure/damage assessment of potential after sales and service cases at the side of customers or end user within his designated sales territory.
· Other duties as assigned by the management from time to time.
