With strong international exposure (approx. 80% of revenues generated outside Italy) and a fast-growing pipeline of complex projects, the Client is strengthening its organization to accelerate international expansion and consolidate its leadership in sustainable water technologies.

The Company is a private family SME, recently backed by a leading European private equity firm focused on environmental sustainability and is currently entering a\nnew phase of international expansion and organizational strengthening to support its next stage of growth\n.

Position – The role:
\n
The new role of Technical Sales Director will report to and work very closely with the CEO, delving into technical details with the goal to developing solutions and establishing standards to lead the creation of a more industrialized, scalable model that will drive growth across strategic accounts as well as key geographies The role requires a strong combination of technical understanding of industrial water treatment solutions and high-value project sales capabilities, managing complex sales cycles with multinational clients and coordinating closely with engineering and project management teams.

The position will play a critical role in expanding Client’s global footprint and strengthening its positioning with leading cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and industrial clients.
\n
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
\n
\n
- Gain trust within the company and establish solid relationships with both the Executive Team and the Stakeholders
\n
- Develop and execute a broad range of tailor-made technical solutions based on\nstandardised\nmodular components, through the
\n
\nDefinition of shared engineering guidelines\nCreation of a technical library (automation, P&IDs;, specifications, drawings, production costs)\n
Optimization of complexity, timelines, and profit margins
\n
\n
- Take end to end ownership of the projects, from design to realisation by the Client, granting consistency between proposal, design and implementation on one side, while building solid relationships on the other.
\n
- Support the CEO in driving\ninternational sales growth\nby expanding the company’s presence with global industrial clients, particularly yet not limited to cosmetics and pharma.
\n
- Manage and develop the engineering team to improve the support provided to clients, as a turn-key element to scale up the organisation.
\n
- Strengthen / establish meaningful relationships with\nkey strategic accounts\nand large multinational clients.
\n
- Manage a\nrobust pipeline of complex engineering projects.
\n
- Position the Client as a\nreference technology provider in industrial water recycling and sustainability solutions\n.
\n
- Support the company’s\nscaling phase under private equity ownership\n, contributing to profitable growth and international expansion.
\n
\nRequirements (“Must have”):\n
Hard Skills
\n
\n
- Degree in\nEngineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or similar)\n, or equivalent experience
\n
- Proven overall experience (\n10/12+ years\n) including at least 5+ years in\ntechnical sales of industrial solutions\n, managing end to end complex projects with multinational industrial clients,\nin Italy and abroad\n.
\n
\nTechnical Design and Automation are required within the technical background\n\n
- Strong background in\nwater treatment, environmental technologies, process engineering, or similar sectors\n.
\n
- Strong understanding of\nengineering-driven sales cycles and technical proposal development\n.
\n
- International commercial exposure and ability to operate across\nmultiple geographies\n.
\n
- Strong commercial discipline including\npipeline management, forecasting, and contract negotiation\n.
