Business Development Manager

Markem-Imaje is a trusted world manufacturer of product identification and traceability solutions, offering a full line of reliable and innovative inkjet, thermal transfer, laser, print and apply label systems. Markem-Imaje delivers fully integrated solutions that enable product quality and safety, regulatory and retailer compliance, better product recalls, and improved manufacturing processes.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling Markem-Imaje’s solutions to customers in Italy. The role involves managing all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting and new business development to opportunity management.
What you will do
* Understand the business strategies of the accounts related to their serialization initiatives, with a focus on the UniSecure solution.
* Serve as the primary point of contact within target accounts for positioning and selling Markem-Imaje’s Serialization Product Tracking solutions.
* Develop and execute an annual business plan to guide and measure your success.
* Create and deliver presentations, white papers, and communications.
* Conduct review sessions and organize roundtable discussions with target accounts.
* Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to your target accounts, influencing their serialization strategies.
* Collaborate with Product Managers and Directors to identify resource needs and optimize product offerings for value creation.
* Maintain close communication with customers and Professional Services to align expectations and address operational issues.
* Report regularly to the Sales Director and senior management.
* Understand the overall product packaging strategy within each target account.
* Maintain accurate forecasts and records of customer and prospect activities using our CRM system.
* Stay informed about product, solution, and industry trends.
What you need to have
* Experience in consultative selling of solutions that combine products and enterprise software services.
* A proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Capability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally.
* Excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to build consensus.
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills.
* Intermediate English proficiency.
