The SAP Academy for Customer Success is a global development program designed for early-career talent.


Who You’ll Become

The primary responsibilities of the Account Executive include prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new business with both existing and new customers. You will empower customers by understanding their strategies and goals, driving cloud revenue growth through dedicated sales efforts, and helping solve their business challenges by demonstrating value through our solutions.


What You’ll Do

As an Account Executive in the SAP Academy for Customer Success, you will:

* Complete a 10-month learn-apply program with classroom and field phases, supporting your role in a customer-facing capacity within our Customer Success Board Area.
* Engage in experiential learning focused on digital transformation, global intelligence, human skills, business and technology knowledge, and strategy/tools/processes.
* Learn to drive value across the customer lifecycle through solution adoption and renewals, fostering account expansion.
* Receive onboarding in your local market with on-the-job training and mentorship from a Senior Account Executive, working behind the scenes and directly with customers.

The program will deepen your SAP knowledge and provide professional experience to prepare you for a customer-facing sales role. Upon successful completion, you will transition into a direct sales role in your market with ongoing mentorship and coaching.

Scope of sales roles: Account Executive (AE), Solution Sales Executive (SSE)


SSE Focus Areas

Knowledge areas include:

* SAP Finance & Spend Management (F&S): accounting, procurement, supplier management.
* SAP SuccessFactors (HCM): HR, payroll, talent management, HR analytics, workforce planning, sales performance.
* SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM): supply chain, asset management, manufacturing, logistics, product lifecycle.
* SAP Customer Experience (CX): e-commerce, customer service, marketing.
* SAP Business Transformation Management (BTM): business process management and automation.
* SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) & SAP Data Cloud (BDC): data management, analytics, application development, AI, and related domains.


What You Bring

* 2–3 years of professional experience in a quota-carrying sales environment or related role with business process exposure.
* Experience generating opportunities, qualifying leads, managing pipelines, and building customer relationships.
* Collaborative approach and strong relationship-building skills.
* Ability to learn quickly, adapt, and apply knowledge to deliver results.
* Understanding of AI fundamentals, uses, and ethics.
* Resilient mindset, optimistic attitude towards challenges.
* Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.
* Proficiency in English and Italian.

The SAP Academy for Customer Success offers a three-year journey to foster accountability and productivity, enabling graduates to make an impact in customer-facing roles while developing leadership potential.

SAP’s hybrid work setup generally involves three days a week in the office or with customers/partners, with plans for a four-week in-person experience in San Ramon, California, spread across two trips. The final decision on this component will be confirmed by early 2026.

Participation during intensive phases requires full engagement; vacation will not be approved during critical times.
