Role Overview
Xylem is seeking a Business Development Manager – Vertical Markets within the Transport division. The role involves promoting the division portfolio by searching and developing different verticals, conducting market analysis, and enhancing business growth targets.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the best Technical/Market Price is delivered to our customers.
* Design customized solutions applicable to the specific vertical.
* Drive new product launches within a specific market alongside the Marketing department.
* Identify strategic product pricing.
* Maintain accurate data and leverage insights to identify opportunities and build actionable plans against KPIs.
* Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to identify indirect specific sales channels.
* Conduct deep market study and analysis to serve new or growing vertical markets.
* Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure smooth execution of the sales process.
* Generate reports and dashboards to track results from each vertical and highlight areas for improvement.
* Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to support scalable vertical markets growth.
* Collaborate closely with the local salesforce to achieve the business growth defined by the segment strategy.
* Ensure a higher win rate by conducting post‑mortem analysis on lost cases with sales.
* Manage priority among customers with a hunter mindset and proactive approach to ensure the best quotations and offer follow‑ups.
* Identify possible partnerships with third parties to enhance the approach to the vertical market.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of experience in business development or sales in the industrial sector.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Salesforce and other systems such as PowerBI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Familiarity with channel sales models and partner ecosystems.
