Overview VectorBuilder is a rapidly growing biotechnology company specializing in advanced genetic engineering solutions for research and medicine. The company is a global leader in a range of products and services related to gene delivery, including vector design and optimization, vector cloning, virus packaging, library construction and screening, stable cell line generation, and GMP manufacturing of clinical-grade plasmids, mRNAs, proteins and viruses. One highlight is an online platform for designing and ordering custom vectors. This award-winning platform is popular with researchers worldwide and has grown into an industry standard for its rich functionalities, extensive experimental validations, and easy-to-use graphical user interface. VectorBuilder has built a comprehensive portfolio of offerings covering virtually all gene delivery needs from bench to bedside. We are currently seeking an Account Manager to oversee the Southern Europe area to join our team! Qualifications Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics or related field Fluent in Italian and English (both verbal and written); Spanish and French are strong assets High self-motivation and ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills Confidence and ease in engaging with clients in both academic and commercial settings Preferred but not required Experience in account management or scientific sales Background in pharmaceutical / biotechnology industries (2 years) Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g. cloning, virus packaging) Proven ability to communicate complex scientific topics clearly Familiarity with CRM systems like HubSpot Key responsibilities Manage and grow accounts within Southern Europe Develop and maintain strong relationships with research institutions and key accounts, acting as their main point of contact through both regular on-site visits and virtual engagements (meetings, presentations, product showcases) Identify new opportunities via direct outreach (e.g. cold calls / emails) Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and responsive support Collaborate with the Regional Sales Director, internal teams, and fellow account managers to align on strategy, share insights, and ensure customer satisfaction Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of VectorBuilder’s offerings and communicate scientific solutions effectively Inclusive of quarterly performance commission.
