Responsible for business operations and HS management enquiries relative to the Burberry site. He/she is responsible for the implementation of actions in compliance with legal security, and for assisting with the on-going development and implementation of Burberry’s operational excellence strategy and standards of excellence. /ppThe role is offered with a maternity cover contract. /ph3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3pGENERAL OPERATIONS /pulliEnsure all operational aspects (heating, lighting, ventilation, production equipment etc) are working effectively and inspected periodically. /liliManage suppliers and technicians supporting operational activities for the site. /liliMonitor contractors and maintenance providers when on site and ensure they are working safely and their work is delivered to a high standard. /liliReporting activities related to different areas under his/her responsibility. /li /ulpHEALTH AND SAFETY /pulliBe the point of contact and coordinator for all HS management enquiries and give advice and support. /liliPartner with the site RLS(s), Global health and safety team, external RSPP and the appointed Occupational Doctor on all occupational health and safety related (proactive reactive) matters. /liliSupports the external RSPP in all Burberry and statutory requirements, DVR, Duvri, etc. /liliPartner with internal and external auditors/inspectors to ensure that support is provided to facilitate health and safety actions. This will include undertaking audits as well as reviewing draft audit reports for accuracy and relevance and managing site action plans. /liliCo-ordinate and support site HS committee meetings with agenda and preparations and ensure minutes have been issued and distributed. /liliPartner with the regional HR team on global Wellbeing programmes and other occupational health issues. Complete/advise on person specific assessments (return to work, pregnancy, disability etc.) where necessary. /liliIn partnership with the operational management teams, reduce health and safety risk throughout the site. This includes, but is not limited to: HS coaching/training, observing and influencing safe behaviours on production lines. /liliEnsure all health and safety incidents are recorded on Burberry’s Global Management System and follow up to ensure that the correct categorisation is made.
