Overview of the Design Studio Specialist role
You will inspire customers to express themselves in their homes. You will assist customers and complete sales at the cash wrap, promoting ongoing engagement and strengthening their connection with our brand.
Responsibilities
* Utilize design expertise to assist clients in store and in-home consultations regarding their living space design to drive sales.
* Conduct productive in-home consultations, including accurate measurements and assessments of clients' living spaces.
* Create and present design plans tailored to clients' needs, styles, preferences, and spaces.
* Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions to meet or exceed sales and productivity goals.
* Assist customers with special services such as gift wrapping, gift registry, merchandise locating, catalog/internet orders, special and back orders, charge sends, courier deliveries, and furniture orders, adhering to world-class service standards.
* Demonstrate superior product knowledge, including features and benefits of the entire design studio assortment.
Criteria
* Strong communication, clienteling, and follow-up skills.
* Ability to coordinate complex large orders across various sales channels.
* Preferred experience with design elements.
* Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience; specialty retail experience is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
* Ability to lift and move medium to large items up to 75 lbs., using proper equipment and safety techniques.
* Full-time associates should have open availability to meet business needs.
* Part-time associates must be available for at least two weekend shifts and two weekday shifts, with greater availability for 20+ hours per week.
