Role Summary
Expand Market Reach for Membrane Technologies - Drive Regional Growth in Italy
As a Sales Engineer / Tecnico Commerciale – Water Filtration & Membrane Solutions (m/f/d), you will be responsible for managing and expanding our membrane-based water treatment business in Italy. You will combine technical sales consulting with market development and building long-term customer relationships. Your focus will be on operational execution, where you can directly apply your expertise and skills to drive business growth.
Your Tasks
1. Develop new business and grow existing customer relationships across Italy
2. Understand customer needs and application requirements to recommend tailored membrane solutions
3. Contribute to the regional sales strategy and support marketing and customer retention initiatives
4. Handle product certifications, quality documentation, and company accreditation processes for key markets
5. Monitor competitor activities and market trends to support pricing and positioning strategies
6. Manage day-to-day sales operations including offer creation, order follow-up, customer support, and complaint handling
7. Conduct technical product presentations, training workshops, and represent MANN+HUMMEL at trade fairs and seminars
8. Collaborate with Product Management and Technical Teams on pilot projects, product adaptations, and design support
9. Act as a regional liaison and provide hands-on support across countries when needed
Your Profile
10. Education: University degree in Process or Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field
11. Professional Experience: Strong background in sales within technical or industrial environments, specializing in the membrane filtration or water treatment sector, with a proven track record of delivering results and driving growth
12. Expertise:Proven track record in B2B solution sellingGood knowledge of membrane technologies, applications, and market requirementsSkilled in using CRM systems such as SalesforceExperience with pricing strategies, competitive analysis, and project-based salesConfident in delivering product trainings, workshops, and high-level customer communication
13. Languages: Business-fluent in English and Italian (spoken and written); other European languages are a plus
14. Personality:Customer-centric and consultative approach to salesStrong communication and interpersonal skills across cultures and functionsHigh level of self-motivation, resilience, and adaptabilityStrategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability Willingness to travel as needed (approx. 30%-50%)
