Senior Architect Industrial Facilities – Ingenium Energy Services (Ingenium Group)Location: Rome, Italy (possible national and international travel)Position: 1 vacancyResponsibilities
Design and coordinate the delivery of large industrial buildings—factories, data centers, utility‐scale facilities—ensuring compliance with technical regulations (NTC 2018, Eurocodes, D.M. 17/01/2018).Conduct and supervise structural analyses, including seismic, geotechnical and stability checks, to guarantee safety and efficiency.Manage authorisation procedures (building permits, AIA, VIA, SCIA/DIA) liaising with local, regional and national authorities.Coordinate integrated design of building and MEP systems, overseeing MEP packages (electric, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing) in collaboration with specialists.Lead a multidisciplinary design team, assigning tasks, monitoring progress and ensuring quality of technical deliverables.Assess urban‐planning feasibility, verify consistency with active urban instruments (PRG, PUC, PGT) and local/regional regulations.Prepare and update technical and procedural progress reports, identifying critical issues and recommending timely solutions.Engage with external stakeholders (consultancy firms, construction contractors, control bodies, legal advisors).Maintain project within time, cost and quality targets; stay updated on evolving regulations.
Desired Profile
M.Sc. in Architecture or Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.Professional engineering licence (Section A, Civil & Environmental) and membership in the Italian Engineers' Association.Minimum 5 years of experience designing complex industrial buildings (e.g., factories, prefabricated structures, multi‐storey plants).Proven experience managing authorisation procedures (building permits, AIA, VIA, seismic deposits).Experience with integrated building‐MEP coordination and leading multidisciplinary teams.Knowledge of municipal and regional urban instruments (PRG, PUC, PGT, NTA).Deep understanding of Italian and European structural and seismic norms (NTC 2018, Circolare 2019, Eurocodes).Familiarity with fire‐protection regulations (D.M. 03/08/2015) and passive/active protection systems.Advanced knowledge of MEP systems: low/medium voltage electrical, HVAC, precision conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing and fire‐protection.Proficiency in structural calculation software (SAP2000, MIDAS, CSI ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer).Experience with design and BIM software (Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).Competence in project‐management tools (MS Project or equivalent).Strong leadership, coordination and communication skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.Excellent written and oral communication in Italian.
Additional Advantages
Experience designing data‐centres or high‐intensity tech buildings (Tier II/III, TIA‐942, EN 50600).Knowledge of VIA/AIA for major industrial works.Experience in energy‐efficiency projects and building certification (LEED, BREEAM, APE).Good technical English; Spanish considered a significant added value.Experience in project development for utility‐scale renewable energy plants.
